Today, July 4th 2025, Shiva Boys' Hindu College proudly hosted its annual graduation ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2025 at the Naparima Bowl in San Fernando. Today we recognized and saluted the students of 5S, 5B, 5C, Upper 6 Science and Upper 6 Business for their many achievements in school and their contributions to the best learning institution in Trinidad and Tobago.

A Day of Grandeur

It was a day of celebration and a day of reflection, a day that attendees would cherish for the rest of their lives, especially the graduating class of 2025. It was a grand event that coincided with the visit of the Honourable Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Sri Narendra Modi, to Trinidad and Tobago, and the observance of Independence Day in the United States of America, making the occasion's date a little more memorable. The atmosphere in the auditorium was filled with a special kind of anticipation and splendour that cannot be articulated in mere words. Only one who was there could truly comprehend the general feeling on the day.

A Well-Planned and Executed Ceremony

Congratulations must firstly go out to everyone who contributed towards making this year's ceremony a most memorable event of tremendously high quality. Teachers who formed the various committees for this year's exercise are experienced professionals who have been planning and executing graduation related duties for many years. Their invaluable experience together with their willingness to produce the best graduation ceremony possible for their students once more led to the success of the event. The administrative staff of Shiva Boys are truly blessed to have teachers of such calibre. It must be mentioned that all went extremely well from beginning to end, much to the appreciation of everyone present in the auditorium.

Many Moments of Marvellous Memories

The expressions of joy and excitement that painted the faces of our graduating students at several key moments during this year's graduation ceremony indicated that they would remember this event for the rest of their lives. Their time to shine on stage while collecting their certificates and special prizes seemed priceless to them. In addition, the faces of their parents or whoever accompanied them to the ceremony mirrored the pride and happiness that they were surely feeling at that significant moment in the lives of their loved ones. Furthermore, all the educators at Shiva Boys who moulded and nurtured these individuals for two, five or seven years would have experienced satisfaction, joy, pride and a sense of accomplishment as a result of the achievement of their students with whom they would have bonded over the years.

A Most Noble Graduation Theme: Even the Smallest Person can Change the Course of the Future

This quote taken from "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" film was perfectly suitable for the occasion. It was meant to inspire and motivate the graduating class to appreciate and act on the fact that one does not need to be powerful and famous to make a difference. The theme is a lesson in hope, courage and the value and power of small acts. The theme was wonderfully elaborated on by all speakers and resonated well with the entire audience. It is quite a universal theme that could apply to people of all ages.

A Look at the Future

It is hoped that next year's graduation ceremony would be just as successful as this year's event. It seems that this is certainly guaranteed considering the high standards which we pride ourselves in at Shiva Boys' Hindu College.
